Why are people so quick to have faith in a God who does not prove his existence, but quick to disregard the possibility of aliens having visited our Earth?

because aliens are just too vast a possibility to even entertain with a consideration unlike God whose existence is just undeniable. by the way, i'm being sarcastic.

People have had religion forced down their throats for thousands of years. Besides of course they will want to believe in something that grants them life after death that is better than this world, *cough bullshit cough*, rather than aliens that for those people already under religions clutches would be a large blow to their beliefs

The scientist are trying to prove and disprove both of these and have not yet said anything positive on either existence. But yet we hear of Area 51 and sightings of UFOs all over the world and just like when people say they have spoken to God and felt the Holy Spirit it is all a matter of what each person has an experience with. In other words it depends on what you leave your mindset open for because we can turn off anything we want in/with our minds from the existence to aliens to what we believe or dont believe in. But with my personal thoughts to me people seem to try to not regard either possibility. (This is an interesting question thanks for posting)

well Organised Religion says there is a God .. so it must be true , the U.S. ( and other ) Government(s) say there is no such thing as Aliens ... so it must be true ...blah...blah...blah... nurse time for my meds!
