You put it around your neck with the two ends hanging in front of you. Take one of the hanging ends and cross it over the other. Pull it around and behind the end you crossed it over and then pull it through the back at the very top of the cross over. Stick the end that you've pulled from behind into the loop in the front of the tie that was made when you originally crossed that piece over in the front. Pull it through and down over the other hanging end of the tie. Make adjustments to it until it looks good. Actually, I don't wear a tie but that's how I taught my son to do his when he was little. It worked for him!
