Our kitten did the same thing until she was about 6-7 months old. Our vet said not to worry that she would grow out of it...and she did. She is now a very healthy 2 year old and doing fine.

My aunt has a dog who is ten and is doing the same thing, has forever. Her vet said its cause he was taken away from the mother to early(5 weeks). Some pets will grow out of it some will not. I think it just comforts them.

She may think that the stuffed animal feels like her mother. This may be a comfort thing for her and she feels as though she is sucking on her mums tits.

It's fine, it may do something lik it i's whole life, my one cat did. It was taken from Mom too early that's all.

Leave the cat alone,, it aint hurting anything

I was about to say that my kitten does that too! Then I realized who posted the question. Hello!! Your kitten is my kitten! LOL

Hello, Yes most of the time when that happens it is because your kitten was weened froms it mother a little to early so aslong as she is eating and drinking on her own still then everything is still fine. The only thing you need to worry about is just hairballs a little bit cause sucking on all that stuffed animal fur could get her a little extra fur in her throat and ad to hairballs i would get some of those hairball treats. She will grow out of it. My little girl kitten Niobe does the same thing and she is almost 8 months old and will occasionally do it when i cover up with a particular blanket lol. That is Niobe below! Hope this helps a little!!

she will more than likely get over it, however if it is annoying put a small amount of flea spray on the toy it doesnt smell or taste nice to cats but wont do her anyharm and will help fight against fleas
