I believe it happened once, but not as we understand it. When Adam and Eve were in the garden the world was perfect. I believe they had perfect communion with all of nature, and with that came telepathy. They could speak to the animals back then with their minds. That would explain was Eve didn't run away from a talking snake they were used to it. When they were kicked out they lost that ability, but some of it is still around in a few people. Jesus had that ability and God obviously does. I also believe we will get it back as one of our rewards in Heaven.

I don't believe snakes have any of the necessary things for speaking such as vocal cords. but i believe if God or perhaps satan really wanted to say something clearly he could make the sound come from their mouths/throats/whatever, giving us the feeling the snake is talking to us.

Do you believe in ventriloquists? I saw a really funny one on TV the other night. Do you think that perhaps Satan, a powerful spirit creature, could make a snake talk? If a ventriloquist can make an inanimate object on a stick (appear to) talk, I have no doubt that an invisible being from another dimension in space and time with god-like power could make a living creature seem to talk.

As Jesus said with man it is impossible,but with God ALL things are possible.He spoke this universe into exsistance,so a talking snake doesn't seem so hard.
