The probability of the existence of extraterrestrial life is a much debated subject. The possibility that intelligent life exists that has technology or knowledge beyond our own is astronomical. The universe is a vast place and the chance that such a culture would be able to find our planet (much less find us of interest) are incredible. I would be greatly interested in any solid evidence you may have of such an event. Taking into account Clarke's third law, the abilities of such creatures would be so far beyond our understanding that I doubt we could find much in terms of evidence. Frankly, humanity has so many problems on its own that I doubt any sufficiently intelligent species would want to get to know us on a more personal level until we grow out of our adolescence as a species.
