Knowledge is the awareness and understanding of facts, truths or information gained.
- Wiki
Wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge.
Wisdom is knowing what to do with knowledge.
Wisdom.
I once read this and- forgive me, I don't remember who said it...but it said:
'Knowledge is not wisdom; you may know how to pick a lock, or steal a car, but it would be wiser to do neither.'
:)
Anyone can acquire knowledge. Wisdom is knowing how to use that knowledge.
Wisdom is not finally tested in the schools,
Wisdom cannot be passed from one having it
to another not having it,
Wisdom is of the soul, is not susceptible of proof
it is its own proof. Walt Whitman.
Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves or we know where we can find information upon it.Samuel Johnson
I'd go with wisdom. Almost anyone can learn something and gain knowledge. It's how you impart that knowledge which is what is important and that is what I refer to as wisdom.
hiya,
i think the answer to this is ...
knowledge is an accumalation of the memory you have built up through the years.and wisdom is the lessons that you have learned.
hows that?.
bob.
Knowledge is acquired through intellect. Wisdom is discrimination of knowledge.
Knowledge leads to wisdom, and could not exist without it.
Knowledge is gained through learning, wisdom is gained through experience.
Let me see if I get through. Knowledge is the tool that leads you to wisdom, but knowledge is not wisdom. You can gain knowledge, not wisdom. Knowledge puts us in the way of wisdom. Wisdom is to be experienced; it is present in you and knowledge helps you to discover it. Wisdom is the treasure which Knowledge helps you to dig out.
APPLICATION vs THEORETICAL
Knowledge = data.
Wisdom = applied knowledge. Integrated facts, data and experience to produce a superior idea.
Knowledge is the having of facts
Wisdom is knowing how to apply the knowledge to everyday life
Plain and simple: wisdom cannot be taught
i wish to have the wisdom to use my knowledge.
wisdom...knowledge is nothing unless you are wise to it.
I´d want to have enough wisdom to achieve enough knowledge to gain more wisdom.
Wisdom! Wisdom is knowing how to use knowledge justly.
Wisdom is the greater gift
I was taught that with knowledge comes wisdom, I would wish that was true but am afraid that is not necessarily the case.
Wisdom. Knowledge is worthless without it.
knowledge is the accumulation of all the facts but wisdom is the ability to use those facts to solve problems.
Knowledge is but the messenger that calls you to wisdom, but it is not wisdom. One can gain knowledge, but one does not seek wisdom - one meets it when one often least expects it and recognizes it as kindred. Knowledge puts us in the way of wisdom, but wisdom is experiential; it is a truth one recognizes in the external world that already resides in the internal one. One cannot *learn* wisdom - one must awaken it.
Knowledge is an accumulation of past information. Wisdom is how the person is applying it in the present. Thus when one thinks, one is in a potential transference to the past. Wisdom implies that one is using experience to master the moment. Michael Rebel LMHC

Knowledge is information. Wisdom is applying that information to everyday life.
Knowledge can be taught, but not wisdom there
must be freedom from knowledge for the coming of wisdom.
the perception of seeing the fact as a fact and not as an abstraction or idea...to see the truth in the false is wisdom which also is the higest form of intelligence.
Common sense
Wisdom. Because with wisdom comes knowledge.
Knowledge is knowing stuff. Wisdom is applying that knowledge.
Knowledge is gained through education, experience, and discovery. Wisdom is the lessons and understand you extract from that knowledge. A great quote that articulates this is from Jurassic Park.
"Your scientists spent so much time figuring out if they could, they never stopped to wonder if they SHOULD!"
To me, the difference is this:
Knowledge is knowing things like facts and information. It is what you know.
Now, wisdom can be better at times. I see wisdom as:
Using the knowledge you have to an advantage to yourself or others. You get wisdom through age, what is the right thing to do as opposed to the wrong. It shows more in age, because you have seen the world for a longer time, and understand more about it.
You accumulate both through age.
Wisdom... With wisdom comes knowledge... With Knowledge comes understanding... With understanding comes a better way to live...
Both. you can't do witout the other.
Wisdom
hmm...my answer is...
knowledge is knowing the tomato is a fruit...
wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad
lmao...
Knowledge can be gained through study and memorization. Wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge in an meaningful and useful manner.
Knowledge come with information. Wisdom comes from experience.
Knowledge is that body of distorted realities and beliefs held by individuals or group of individuals as facts that may change with time, for example the theory of evolution; however, wisdom is one of the gifts of the Spirit (1st Corinthians 2:14); it's spiritually discerned and cannot therefore be taught or learnt;
for example - wisdom tell us that our global economy needs to be fuelled by our sweat - yet knowledge claims the best way out of the present credit crunch is yet more credit - and that is why - only a fool says in his or her heart that there is no God.

knowledge is learned wisdom is sought...??
i don't know..
that's the first thing that popped into my head when i read this question.
Knowledge is knowing and wisdom is appyling it.
Knowledge is knowing.
Wisdom is applying knowledge.
Knowledge is an information that is a result of research that is accompanied by danger to its surroundings (people/environment).
Wisdom is information that guides us to what is right from what is wrong.

Knowledge is what you learn or are taught. Wisdom is something you have gained through life experiences.
Knowledge comes from research where as wisdom comes from experience
Knowledge is knowing many things but Wisdom is defined as using the things known in a proper way.for eg : A man gets to know how to create nuclear weapons etc,tis is known as knowledge but when he gets to know how to use it legally thn its called as wisdom..
knowledge is temporal and physical, wisdom is spiritual!
knowledge is temporal and physical, wisdom is spiritual!
the difference between the two is what you feel. if you think that knowledge means you're intelligent then that's what it means to you. if you think that wisdom means being wise beyond years of life that what means to you. so it really is all up to you and what you think. you are the future of the world.
Many Differences! Here are some teasers for tickling your brain
Knowledge is what you are taught, wisdom is what you learn
Knowledge is domain specific and has boundaries while wisdom is holistic and remains valid across domains and over time
Knowledge mainly focuses on the What and How while wisdom seeks to answer the Why
Knowledge helps us distinguish between the right and wrong while wisdom helps us understand the difference between the good and bad
"If Not For The Actions Of Fools, There Could Be No Wisdom."
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is knowing not to put one in a fruit salad.
