  • It means no matter what diet you choose, you have to stick with it. Any diet that becomes a yo-yo diet will fail. Willpower and consistency takes off pounds, not some magic formula.
  • Diets are about changing your lifestyle not about choking down a salad. That's why most people fail. They change what they eat but not how they live.
  • I think you have to stick with it, forever and ever.
  • "different strokes for different folks" and some do not have the willpower to change "eating habits"....its a life long deal and one some just can't conform to..i am just thankful i have always had a high metabolism, else i'd be huge too!!! i have an addiction, so i can't be condescending......it is hard, i'm sure......but alot of obesity is downright lazy and undisciplined....and thats a bad habit also....:)
  • I'd say it did not work for Kirstie for whatever reasons...and who knows what they are. It certainly seems to work for Valerie Bertinelli though, huh?
  • It didn't work permanently for Kirstie Alley because once she lost the weight by following Jenny Craigs diet, she was either unable or unwilling to make the necessary life changes to keep it off. Any diet can work and make you lose weight if you follow it, but you have to make changes to maintain the weight loss or you'll find it jumping back on in no time.
  • she just switched from jenny craig to sarah lee
  • More than likely she didn't stick to the diet. All diets will fail if you ignore the rules & do what you want.
  • Kirsty Alley gave up. Jenny Craig can work for anyone but you have to work it. There are dietary rules that don't include eating what you want and blaming poor Jenny.
