The storke brings them, until they are old enough to get the speech about the birds and bees.

A simple, "they come from the mommies tummy" is a good enough answer for me. If they ask how that happens just say, I'll tell you when your older. No big deal. I don't believe you need to lie to the kids.

From their mothers and fathers and from God. *God,only where applicable. "It is no small thing when they who are so fresh from God love us." Dickens.

I have a great childrens book from the 70's about it.

Just say, From mummies tummies'. In my experience they only tend to ask one question at a time. It will take a little time before they begin to wonder how the babies got in there, then you just answer the next stage simply too, 'The daddy puts them there' and so on... Why lie? If you're open with your kids they will know they can trust you and will bring all their questions and problems to you first.

It depends on the age of the child. At about 8 or 9 they should be told the truth. My mother used to say that there was a special place where babies come out.

From the hospital. This is good only until the start first grade. At least, this buys you time for the other answers and until you have to do the birds and the bees thingy.

you should say, "from the love of a Mommy and Daddy" this is true and doesn't reveal things that would utterly destroy their innocence.
-

And mommy loves daddy, and daddy loves mommy...and we love you so very much, that we thought you might want a little brother to play with. Soo...I guess that is why...and where?
