Help answer this question below.

I got a used ps2, it plays dvd, but can not play ps1 or ps2 games, and says insert ps1 or ps2 disk, please help me.

    You probably need a new disk drive. You can get used ones for pretty cheap online. Then, just take it to a repair shop.

    I have a ps2.. ive had it for years and ive never had a single problem with it, even when i was on it for three days straight during the summer. It plays both dvds and ps1 games just fine. I suggest you go to a local gaming store and ask them about it. Since the ps2 is used, maybe the previous owner broke somthing inside of it that reads the ps1 games. good luck (:

    take it to a video game shop that offers repairs. in my experience Play stations break allot.. everyone i have known has gone threw at least 2.. im on my second atm aslo.
