I think he is a turncoat. If he was going to do that, he should have switched parties when he's re-election came up.

He has more concern for himself than for his country. Job security is what it's about. I hope the loses his seat. He's been there since Moses was born. Way too long. Most have been there way too long. It wasn't meant to be that way.

I would not respect politicians who change their party affiliation. These people lack principles and integrity. No, they cannot represent those who elected them by their change.

I think it goes to show you that politicans are so concerned with keeping their job, they forget to do their job. We elected them on their priniciples and what they stood for. Changing parties just to keep their job usually means a change in their values.

Opportunistic. As for the second part of your question, I don't think they ever represent those who elected them, whether they have a little "D" or a little "R" next to their name.
