I have 2 dogs a staff aged 4 & a shepherd 5 months,both female,its hard getting the shepherd to do anything as she`s only interested in the staff,its got to the stage we call the pup & the staff comes like shes coaxing her,i`ve even tried seperating them

I am not sure what your question is. The shepherd will be curious, want to play and possibly dominate the the staff if she can get away with it -- pack alpha female rules. If the staff is responding to your verbal commands to "come" and brings along the pup, that is great. The pup will copy the staff's behavior both good and bad. If you want to teach the shepherd, then do work with her alone. You don't want her totally dependent on the staff either. Each dog needs it's own space at times - for learning as well as relaxing.

well first of all the pup prob think the big dog is its mum and also the big dog will have layed down some rulls that its the dominant one, so you have to train the pup with some treats. so when you call her name and she comes give her a treat and so on, good luck, john
