Indeed i am! I have the flaming red hair of a Scotsman. Plus im a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce (scottish king). I love my ethnicity
-
Nope. You're not allowed to be proud to be white. That makes you a racist.
-
Well, since I was born into my ethnicity, it seems kind of pointless to be proud of it. It's not like something I achieved through vision and hard work. It is what it is, nothing more, nothing less.

No, I see no reason to be proud of something I had no control over that only means I was born from certain parents in a certain place. It would be like being proud I was a certain height or had brown eyes. So what? I like who I am and I love my parents and family, but that's it.

Since you did not ask about race, I shall not say the "Indy 500." :) Most people ask about "race." I am proud that my ethnicity has survived so long despite so many attempts to exterminate and/or enslave us, and we are fighting to survive today's slaughter in Europe, and more. I consider myself to be a survivor so consider myself to be a good representative of my ethnicity. So, in a way, I am proud of my ethnicity. I am also proud of myself. However, I had nothing to do with being this ethnicity. Nope, if I had the chance to choose, I would be "what" I am.

I'm not usually proud or ashamed of things I did not accomplish through my own personal efforts. I'm happy with being what I am though.
-
I can't say I'm proud but I do enjoy it especially during the holidays. Of course I'd rather be Irish because people think they're cute or poetic when they are drunk.
-
I would be proud of who I am regardless of my ethnicity.

When I was young ( junior school/ high school ) I wanted to be like everyone else, to fit in... why was I different? why couldn't I go to the school disco? Now that I'm older ( 45 ) I love who I am... not because of my ethnicity but because of what it put me through in life.. its made me the person I am today.
