In a small bowl, mix the vanilla soy milk, egg, oil, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Pour the soy milk mixture into the bowl with the flour mixture, and whisk together until smooth. Grease a skillet, and heat over medium low heat. Pour about 1/4 cup batter onto the heated skillet, and cook until bubbly. Flip with a spatula, and continue cooking about 1 minute, until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter. Enjoy :)
  • If you are lactose intolerant try cooking bannock-commonly refered to as Indian bread. 1 cup all purpose flour 1 teasoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon of sugar mix well add enough water to make a paste into a heated skillet put oil and butter keep the heat down to around 3 or 4 on the electric range element dial place three separate laddles of batter in skillet fry until the bannock rises and a nice golden crust is developed-you can turn the bannock over several times during cooking to prevent burning and to produce a well cooked product serve with butter and jam

  • Just use Lactaid milk. It tastes the same as regular milk but it has lactase, which is the enzyme needed to digest lactose. This makes it lactose free. You should be able to find it the same spot as you buy soy milk.
