Out of interest how much power and how much greenhouse would an ADSL modem/ wireless router approx produce over a period of time?

    Impossible to answer without the make, model, condition of internal wiring in the home, the ambient temperature, is it functioning properly? etc...

    Compared to a TV, far far far less energy use with a DSL modem.

    DVD players and VCRs use less as they are not on all the time. If they were on constantly, they would be more costly than the modem.

    Computer monitors use a TON of energy to run, so there is no contest there.
