  • Heat it up.
  • 25 to 30 seconds in a microwave should do it. (unless it specifically says "do not microwave".) Run it under hot water in a sink.
  • Put the whole container in a cup of hot water until it's soft.
  • boil water, leave the blade of a steel knife in the water for a minute then take it out and dip in the honey. It'll help get out what you want. You could also try this with a spoon. You'd only do that when you don't want to soften up all the honey.
  • its ok to microwave it, aslong as the container is not made out of metal!

  • Place your honey container in warm water. Watch that the water is not too hot as if you container is plastic and not glass the plastic itself can melt a bit (I have had that happen when rinsing out the empty container in hot water - the whole thing collapsed on itself).
