  • For me the original John Lennon version is the best - but often the first version of a song that you hear will always be your favourite so some younger people may prefer a newer version. For me, it is the haunting pure sound that was created on the original that makes it stand out.
  • I don't care, I hate the song.
  • the original is best... :)
  • I definitely think Lennon's original is the best, however I prefer Bryan Ferry's version of Lennon's "Jealous Guy" over the original. (Check it out on youtube sometime.)
  • I like the first one; I identify with it the most because I've heard it the most and It's a good song for me. But I REALLY like -- can't remember the group's exact name - - "Flawed Circle"?" Perfect Circle"? Or something like that. They made it into a completely different song that stands alone very well for me.
  • It may have been covered many times but I have only actually heard two of those cover versions, one by A Perfect Circle and another by a girl called Alex whose surname escapes me at the moment, who won a reality show a few years ago, and out of those three I still think the original is the best.
  • John Lennon is a genius to me as a writer and a performer. I love Cyndi Lauper's version of Working Class Hero, gritty and original. Go on you tube and check it out. There are a few videos of it, so you have to search a little. I am not good at inserting tapes here yet.
