The song "Imagine" has been covered many times. Do you think of any covers as being as good as or better than Joh Lennon's original version?

For me the original John Lennon version is the best - but often the first version of a song that you hear will always be your favourite so some younger people may prefer a newer version. For me, it is the haunting pure sound that was created on the original that makes it stand out.

I definitely think Lennon's original is the best, however I prefer Bryan Ferry's version of Lennon's "Jealous Guy" over the original. (Check it out on youtube sometime.)

I like the first one; I identify with it the most because I've heard it the most and It's a good song for me. But I REALLY like -- can't remember the group's exact name - - "Flawed Circle"?" Perfect Circle"? Or something like that. They made it into a completely different song that stands alone very well for me.

It may have been covered many times but I have only actually heard two of those cover versions, one by A Perfect Circle and another by a girl called Alex whose surname escapes me at the moment, who won a reality show a few years ago, and out of those three I still think the original is the best.

John Lennon is a genius to me as a writer and a performer. I love Cyndi Lauper's version of Working Class Hero, gritty and original. Go on you tube and check it out. There are a few videos of it, so you have to search a little. I am not good at inserting tapes here yet.
