The fact that if a string vibrates in two halves it produces the fifth, in other words the first harmonic, underlies virtually all music.
I think the harmonic series influences the harmonies and the chord patterns more, but sure it's all related. we are just using and manipulating what's already there.
How would you simplify this measure of music?
