  • Im not black...But I find it a derogatory term. It offends me. It offends me when they say it to each other.
  • I'm not black, but I wouldn't be offended because it's just a stupid word. They could call me honky, or white trash all day long, and it wouldn't bother me. They use the word so they must not think it's all that bad. It's just more like a club, and we're not allowed in. so much for non racial bias. I would be more offended if someone were to insult my character. Especially if they accuse me of things that aren't true and they're just trying to get at me.
  • I am not black but, if I was, I would not be offended if it was not used pejoratively, but I would ask the person to not use it around me because I do not like it. I would be very annoyed if someone who is not a friend of mine said it to me for any reason. As it is when I hear anyone say it, including black people to each other, I am not comfortable.
  • Okay, well I am black and I certainly wouldn't enjoy hearing it. Quite a few black people I know actually despise that word and I just don't like being called the n-word period. Unless it means educated goal oriented human I don't want to be called that. I understand the double standard (which applied to almost every racial slurr), but I also understand the history behind it and I can't stomach myself to say any racial slurr, be it slang or not. Plus, last time I checked I had a name...and I isn't nigga (nor am I one). Considering it's my generation that says it the most, I'm pretty embarassed about it.
  • I would be slightly offended.. because in my area when people say the n-word, even in a friendly way.. they are making fun of black people
  • I would never dream of using that word no matter what color I am. It pisses people off. Why do it?
