they are inextricably linked. the bible indicates that after death, the soul goes to be with Jesus, but that, on the last day, our bodies will be resurrected in a perfected form, just like Jesus'.
-
I totally believe our souls do leave our bodies. The body dies, but the soul is eternal in my opinion.

My soul weighs 21 grams. EDIT: I'm sorry all right. It's not my fault I love the theories of mad doctors from times past. I do go door to door and preach. I can relate. Let's talk morality.

If your religious..that question is answered, but for the skeptics/others. maybe we just become fertilizer.

I believe that our souls leave our bodies. If you really think deeply, I think the positive energy of our souls goes "up" (to heaven?) or stays on earth, I don't know. The negative energy in people goes "down" somewhere (maybe, let's call it....hell?). I think heaven will feel good, because your soul will be mixed with other positive energies.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe there is nothing after death. Including spirits & souls. They believe that there are "demons" that pretend to be souls though. All very normal.
-
I don't believe I have a soul. I believe I AM a soul & I HAVE a body. When my body dies, I'll still BE.

Ezekial 18:4 says "the SOUL that is sinning it itself will die".

It's not possible to tell. People can say there is a soul but ultimately the only "proof" is in a book written by the human hand. Not very reliable to me. We may be like a computer that is fully functional and complicated. When the plug is pulled it simply ceases. Again, no way to tell. I'll find out, hopefully not before I'm 85.

Ecclesiastes9:5 says "the dead are concious of nothing at all" Acts 2:34 also says that "David did not ascend to the heavens Ezekial 18:4 says " the soul that is sinning it itself will die" (we are all sinners) As lots of people know the Bible only speaks of a small number that go to heaven that are part of a Covenant that was made by Jesus, Luke 22:28,29. They are going to rule as kings & priests (along with Jesus)& these have been bought from the earth with the blood of Jesus by means of his Ransom sacrifice;Rev 5:9,10& Rev 14:1,3 Kings usually have subjects to rule, it is the ones that don't go to heaven will recieve an earthly resurrection & will be the subjects of of that Kingdom arrangement that was made by Jesus & the kings will be those spoken of in Rev5:9,10 & Rev 14:1,3.

That kings and princes ruling thing sounds unbiblical, but yes, our souls are visible through our eyes, and once they close for the last time, they open for the first time in heaven or hell.

Some folks believe so.
