It doesnt offened me. However I dont beleive it will do me much good for them to pray for me. With that said I actually think of it as a nice gesture because they beleive it will help.
-
Only if they do it in a condescending way. Im gay, so whenever i encounter this subject with a christian, and they say "ill pray for you" yes i get offended. If a religious person acts like they are so above another that they need to pray for them because they disapprove of something that person does, they are egotistical.
-
No, unless they say they're praying for my degenerate soul or something like that. Otherwise, I assume it's their way of showing they care.
-
It doesn't offend me. I just think they're slightly insane. I find religion to be a validation of false hopes and fabricated explanantions.
-
nope.
-
Offended? No. I might roll my eyes, though.
-
Nah, every little helps.
-
No, that's their business if they want to pray. What does offend me is when someone assumes that because they think I'm a good person that I must be religious. I don't like it when at a first introduction the person asks me which church I go to. That's presumptuous and pretty rude.
-
No, It would just In my ear and out the other.
-
Yes, it is offensive, since that kind of statement infers that they have a relationship with God that you don't have and they will help you out by being the "middleman."
-
I'm religious, not fanatical, like some. I don't run out and preach. I don't ask my BF to go to church with me. If you practice another faith;I won't debate you as to which is "better/believable." I've only read a few paragraphs in the Bible, but have listened to many stories... You should pray for me, thanks...;)

I feel sorry for those that do. It's an egotistical use of "god's power", which is truly sorcery. They hurt themselves doing so.
