Sequentially, the next number is formulated by multiplying the last number with its next higher number.

1*2=2
2*3=6
6*7=42
42*43=1806

2 is 1x1+1
6 is 2x2+2
42 is 6x6+6
1806 is 42x42+42

... they are a progression pattern ...

the simplest expression for the progression would be n + nxn
