  • I believe that 100%!! Times have changed since I was a kid. +5
  • Depends which era of the past. During the Middle Ages, people likely weren't nice at all, except to people they knew. But certainly during the Renaissance people were nicer than now.
  • I think so, more sociable maybe but society is changing, that's for sure or maybe we are just getting older
  • Absolutely. Everyday I wonder why people are so rude. You can't go to the store without observing it. You can't say hi to anyone at the post office without them looking at you like you are going to start shooting. You can't make small talk in the doctor's office without them ignoring you. I have lived in my apartment complex for 4 years and I do not know any 1 of my neighbors. The girl across from me goes out of her way to avoid running into me for fear of having to be nice. Good neighbors don't exist any more. Block parties, unheard of. I can't even say excuse me at the grocery store without someone getting mad that I walked in front of them to begin with. Just yesterday I had a woman literally run into me at the DMV and she kept moving like it never happened. She knocked me off balance but it was more important to her that her number was called. It's hard not to be bitter in this climate.
  • No, but we didn't get to see as much of it because there was no Internet.
