NO! Definetly not for me. That is one thing I love doing, writing my own(songs as well) It's been a while since I've writen any new ones(songs and poems)but I still love it, always will! : )
-
no it could never

It would certainly appear, that the end for poetry is near. I think that in the past you could actually make money from it so more people were published and wrote, but nowadays I think publishers are less likely to invest in poetry as it isn't really a big seller unless it is by one of the classics, so people are more likely to just keep it as a hobby to themselves, on the whole.

Nupe. It died long ago. Weather to your acceptance or dismay, Nobody will become a poet by having died today. Not even in a decade or three. Hasn't been that way in recent historee. (/me groans...sorry...I guess I exemplified that point)
-
NO I certainly hope not. I know a lot of people that write poetry
-
no. the people who write it may be dying though. either that or i don't really meet enough teachers that talk about todays poetry.
-
yes it is. People who are poets or consider themselves poets don't publish enough of their work to reach a widespread audience. Even though it is rather hard (not impossible) to get their work published in the first place. Secondly more poetry should be taught in schools and in outside school programs.

Yes. It's sad, but true. +5 to you!
