  • if my family NEEDS money, i will give it to them before a charity. but it depends on what they need it for. because chances are the people the charity money is going to need it more so than my family.
  • Isn't helping you family and friends charity?
  • Giving is an interesting thing. People who give a lot of money say that it helps them make more money. I think I understand why: When you give, you're telling yourself that you have enough money and that there will be enough later. By thinking that way, you unconsciously make it come true by doing things that support that idea.
  • Naturally, our private resources for giving span well beyond monetary gifts. In the event we give money or other resources to persons close to us, we nevertheless possess innumerable gifts of all shapes and sizes, tangible and intangible (e.g. knowledge, influence, encouragement, thoughts, labor, intelligence, and so on), to keep up the act of giving for the rest of our days. Think of the ways you can give and take responsibility! Do both to the greatest extent you can and of the greatest quality you can conceive, and not only do you become a person of great character, encouragement (to others and self), influence and power, but immediately you are that person. Be this person and the world is your charity. The people in your world, and those throughout the world, will strive to emulate your daily and life-long contribution. Useful or useless, the choice, degree and quality of your contributions is entirely up to you. : )
