I have to confess, I have this image of you texting this question on your mobile device while you're weaving in and out of traffic with people swerving to avoid you. Seriously, you have a good point of course, it would be nice if people used turn signals before they changed lanes and other people didn't use that signal to as an opportunity to block the lane. Ah, if wishes were fishes. Just remember, the law of averages will catch up to them and you might have the opportunity to wave at them while they're sitting on the side of the road with their demolished Porsche some day. One can always hope.

People get in their own little worlds. It's some perfect storm of selfishness, laziness, and just complete ignorance. People who drive like the road is their own backyard annoy the hell out of me.

I think it is two things: - some people are so preoccupied with crying children or cellphone that they just don't think - some people who are insecure use their car to as a way to feel powerful over other people

Anonymity. Idiots have a whole bunch of power with a car. And they have few ways of being caught for their idiocy. Remember the days BEFORE called I.D.? Since then the number of crank calls have dropped.

Because most people are in a hurry getting to know where and 4 minutes quicker. Put in a nice CD and say "Serenity Now" rinse and repeat.
