I've done that sort of thing for the past 5 years or so. My familly participates in a cancer walk each summer. It's overnight around a track and each team sets up their tenys in "camps". The year I was in Iraq they named theier camp "Camp David" and had a quilt signed at the cancer walk by paticipants dent to me in Iraq along with a video of the walk. I still have both of those.

I have done a charity walk for the Juvenile Diabetes Association. My daughter and grandkids, who were 10 and 13, also did the walk. Our little friend, Quentin, who was 8, and has diabetes, also walked with us. We stopped along the way if he needed checking with his blood sugars, but he was a real trooper. It is a very good cause, and I'm proud to have participated in the walk.

My wife has, I haven't. I believe in giving directly to a charity rather than roundabout, less direct ways such as walks/runs.
