We just recently drive to AZ from NY to spend Feb.-May in the sun. We brought our 15 yr. old in-door cat with us who has only been to the vet and back. He recently left his calling card 2X in the bedroom in the apt. we rented. What's his message to us?

He is likely just marking his new territory. There might have been a pet in the house previously and he is smelling the remnants of their calling cards- so he has decided to cover it with his own. It will probably settle down in a while.

He might not have done it in your first home because of his age or the fact that there were no competitive scents.
