I don't like the idea of prosecuting men who acted under what they believed were legal orders while our country was in a state of panic and had come out from a period when we were under actual attack.

I agree, no-one & no country is above the law..... theoretically. Anyone who participated in torture should be prosecuted. Saying 'its not my fault I was only following orders' didn't get the Nazi's off the hook, & it shouldn't get Americans or Brits off.
