I don't understand what you are asking. Am I in good shape? Have I adapted to survive in this atmosphere? Or what? I am spoiled, so if I had to fight to live, I could only go so far and I am sure I would not win, if that is what you mean.

I am WELL fit!
-
Yes.

'Survival of the fittest' is nothing to do with health. Or at least, not directly. The word 'fittest' has a slightly obsolete meaning. It means 'most fit for something'. In other words, natural selection indicates that those animals that are most fitted for their environment will be the ones that survive and reproduce. These are not necessarily the most healthy. In a time of starvation, the most fit can be those who have a slow metabolism, and who in a time of plenty would be obese.

Many politions have suggestd that you shouldnt give welfare to the unemployed this way if they cant find work they will die eary and only the rich and capable move on!! Thats what Darwin meant by survival of the fittest that those you are born in2 a particul family or who works hard enough will do better, it has nothing to do with health!

Going by most of there answers we're all well adapted because we're human, the fittest of all creatures on the planet because we have certainly tamed earth if you want to look at it that way. In my views humans are the least fittest and the vast majority now rely on a few to actually do the hard work of feeding the rest. Office workers produce very little, but in an advanced society office workers are needed non-the-less. Time was when office workers were rarely needed and the majority of humans worked the fields. Now very few work the fields while the rest do all the eating. Some day the field workers may become the highest paid and office workers will be a dime a dozen. Wouldn't that be interesting?
