What I'd REALLY like to know is who might know of a worthy recording I could get my hands on of Grieg's piano "Lyric Pieces." (I have a favourite & would love to learn to play it.)

I have played some of Grieg's "Lyric Pieces". They are in my set of encyclopedias of classical music called "International Library of Music". In fact, I have 2 sets of them. I should give one of them away! Anyway, Grieg composed a set of 66 short pieces for solo piano. In 2002, Norweigian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes recored a CD of 24 lyric pieces on Grieg's own 1892 Steinway piano. Other pianists who have also made recordings are: 1. Walter Gieseking 2. Emil Gilels 3. Eva Knardahl 4. Hakon Austbo 5. Gerhard Oppitz
