  • Sorry it took so long. Note what the patient is wearing, and who is trying to save his life.
  • Sorry, I'm drawing a Blank.
  • Overcoming hate. That KKK member should thank the medical workers who are saving his life.
  • Oh ok- It looks sad- I think -(is it?) a picture of a KKK member.
  • That's an awesome picture!! An African American doctor saving a KKK member.... Definitely makes ya think about hatred.
  • You can overcome your personal feelings when it comes down to doing the right thing. Not everyone can do that. They could have justified to themselves that this man should have been left to die, but they could not do it knowing they had the ability to save his life, regardless of how he was living it. A person's life is not in our hands to take based on our own biased judgements.
  • It makes me wonder if I could be that strong if I had to. I don't know I have never been put to that test and nor do I want to. I just hope I could over come.
  • It means 'life is precious'
  • It goes to show that the doctors and nurses in the pictures are the bigger person, the stronger person. They are willing to devote their time and talents to a person who very openly displays a hatred of their own. Excellent picture.
  • Talk about irony. I hope the guy on the bed survived and that the entire situation opened his eyes to the stupidity of racism.
  • I think that's a great photo. Those Doctors and nurses were only thinking of saving a life. The patient on the bed, obviously is a racist. When, he wakes up with life, I'm sure he will change his motives and his ways and he will be thankful to those doctors and nurses for saving his life.
  • Simply proving that race does not matter.
  • It means to me that people deserve a second chance to live their lives right and this doctor probably [hopefully] taught the klan member a lesson on why hatred of someone because of skin color is so ignorant.
  • It means that the doctors and nurses are putting any personal feelings about the situation aside and doing their jobs. It is very respectable, and something that I'm not sure I'd have an easy time doing. I find it very honorable, and I hope that if that man survived, he was informed about who it was that saved his life. I hope it opens his eyes.
  • To me it means I'm glad I'm not an ER doc because I probably would have let him die.
  • It means that there are good people out there in the world. It made me think about my great grandfather- the guy who brought the KKK to Arizona (note in my opinion everyone is at least a tiny bit prejudice, but I like to think that I am not super racist- considering that my sister was adopted from Guatemala and I love her a lot). I don't know what I would have done if I was a black in that position. I would probably have wanted to walk away at the moment, but I would have hated myself for the rest of my life for doing so. If I was the guy in the KKK and I believed what he believed (I don't- so don't down rate me for this- I'm just playing pretend) I would probably have wanted to die and rot in hell rather than have a black man save my life.
  • I agree with Michellek518. the doctors and nurses are professional and caring and have not let their feelings interfere with their duty. I hope the guy survived and realised what he now owes these people and by extension to all AFrican-Americans.
  • is this a real photo, or is it juss one of those photos trying to be funny.. im guessing #2
  • This picture is not real is it? I mean it's not a real situation. The picture has been set up right. It just doesn't look right - the klansmen is still wearing his hat, and if it was a real hospital theatre situation, it would have been removed. But if you are trying to find out how I feel about a black guy saving a racists life - well doctors and all other medical staff have to push aside all their personal feelings - it's an important part of their medical training.
  • It means the man was lucky he got a doctor who was not letting bigotry affect his responsibility to save ANY human life if possible.
  • That some people are so stupid! Why not just embrace others rather then dicriminate twords them. Kinda cheesey I know...
  • The people working on him are accepting and true. Forgiveness. Beautiful I think. I mean, sad I guess, but I like that picture. They're caring enough to acknoledge beliefs without a change of opinion about the man.
  • Ironic
  • How ironic, the people he has being trying to kill and cause pain to now have his life in their hands
  • To me, it looks like the KKK member is being Castrated,I hope so!
  • I think this photo means that good can overcome evil and hate.
  • it means he better be really glad that they can look past things that mean so much to him and that karma wasn't out to get him on that particular night!
  • It epitomizes the section in the Hippocratic Oath that refers to "First Do No Harm".
  • Hope and believe in human kind and the ability to change... And respect for one's job (as in if you choose to be a doctor, you treat all patients the same).
  • How do you know they are helping him ?
  • to me it would means that you are above the predudice trown at you, you are in fact the better person (proving them wrong) also from the patients point of view never burn bridges you just might need to get over them someday
  • It makes me feel strange and I don't know that something like it would ever happen. It would be very difficult if I were in the health professionals position.
  • Pure irony. I find humor in this, is that wrong? :)
  • it means that black people are real nice people and would save your life even if you belonged to the KKK and don't you forget it.
  • Thanks for sharing. Irony.
  • It looks like a failed Lynching. Why are they trying to save him?
  • Absa-frickin’-hilarious!
  • ROFLMAO LOL LOL LOL LOL LMAO LMAO LMAO LMFAO LMFAO LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Real or not... I see Irony... And dedicated medical staff, who treat EVERYONE, no matter who or what they are.
  • You guys won't believe this, but a fellow paramedic once had to tell a very sick woman with bad heart problems that he wasn't black - that he was Hawaiian, in order to help her. Otherwise, she wouldn't let him touch her!!! Isn't that the most absurd thing you've ever heard?!
  • It reminds me of that 'All in the Family' episode where Archie has an operation and gets a blood transfusion from a black doctor.
