I did that once. It is kind had to on my newer car. The doors do not lock if the key is in ignition.

Ohmigod I drive myself crazy. I have done it twice and both times were in the dead of winter with snow on the ground and ice in my veins.

I live in the country and RARELY take the keys out of the vehicles,,,but even if I did,my sponsor has keys to at least 2 vehicles(I loaned him a ride a few times and never got them back,,he is trustworthy)

wow it has been so long that I forget.

Enough to have a couple of extra keys stashed around multiple cities. The worst time was when I left the engine on. Had a reasonably-hot Volvo with an aluminum block V-6. Texas in August. Aluminum doesn't like high temperatures.

my ex said it was me when he not only locked us out of the car he left the car running! was so eager to get to the movies and then we had to wait for my brother to come with a spare set of keys then one time the key fell off my key chain clip and slipped under the drivers seat so i freaked when i got out of class and realized i didnt have my key. was just happy the car was still there! dad was not so happy to drive to campus. oh wait! almost forgot a couple years ago working really late hours...getting home from work and going straight to bed...then in the morning could NOT find the car keys! then you get that bad feeling...the last time i had the keys there were in the car...and sure enough there they were, thankfully i turned off the engine but i never took the keys out! since i was home the spare set was right there. kinda like how this guy looked: http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/2101887/1000278-main_Full.jpg

I don't drive. But I've locked myself out the house many times, grr! (Always rushing out to catch that bus!!) Good thing I have roommate (who works nights) to drop my keys in the mailbox before he leaves...

Never. It wouldn't be possible as I use a remote control to lock my car.

A zillion. I just don't lock my car anymore because I've done it so many times. My dog has even accidentally locked me out of the car before. lol! That quiz thing is dumb, it doesn't provide the right choices.
