I live in alabama and was awarded sole care custody of my grandchild is there any difference in the custody i have and full custody. his mom abandonded hom and i wander if she has any rights left to the child

    Sole and full custody are the same thing. The mother still has some rights to the child unless a court terminated all of her parental rights. To do this she would either have to sign her rights away, or you can ask the court to terminate her rights.
