G'day Ndt730, Thank you for your question. As an Australian, Sidney Nolan's pictures of Ned Kelly has always struck a chord with me. Ironically, Nolan's grandfather was a police sergeant seeking to capture Kelly who is Australia's most famous outlaw. The Winged Victory (NIKE) of Samothrace. I remember walking into the Louvre in Paris, and there it was, at the top of the stairs. I was transfixed. I felt that if I touched the clothing, it would have felt real. I shivered at the rain that was beating down on her and the wind that was moving the fabric. How masterful the artist was who produced her and how sad that she has been so damaged by time. Yet, even so, she is still beautiful beyond description.
