As far as I understand, the type of fusion reactors that they are using at Livermore use Inertial Confinement, not Magnetic Confinement: "Fusion Reactors: Inertial Confinement The National Ignition Facility (NIF) at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory is exp erimenting with using laser beams to induce fusion. In the NIF device, 192 laser beams will focus on single point in a 10-meter-diameter target chamber called a hohlraum. A hohlraum is "a cavity whose walls are in radiative equilibrium with the radiant energy within the cavity" " Source and further information: http://science.howstuffworks.com/fusion-reactor.htm/printable You cand find further information about fusion here: http://fusedweb.llnl.gov/ http://dspace.mit.edu/bitstream/handle/1721.1/29869/31763419.pdf;jsessionid=8D3677D16F23129A5C16F61D89CF4327?sequence=1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inertial_electrostatic_confinement http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_confinement_fusion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_reactor_technology#Fusion_reactors

No. This only applies to the third generation magneto-hydrodynamic pulse modulated core fusion reactors. Constrained fusion core reactor initial magnetic flux alignments are determined and set during initial design and construction. All further adjustments and compensations are performed on a picosecond time scale controlled by a quantum hyperlight computer. Initial programming for this function is determined and set by the physical hyperspacial characteristics of the actual finished reactor core, which are permanently fixed in a transdimensional matrix and cannot be altered. Therefore no subsequent manual adjustments are possible, and are unnecessary in any case. Even should the transdimensional matrix be corrupted, the end result would be a hyperspacial hysteresis loop which would close off and separate the fuel volume from our universe into it's own unique and separate universe with no possibility of leakage into our own.
