Help answer this question below.
I think being thanked for my taking the time to answer someone's question is proper and polite. I thank the people who answer my questions and I absolutely expect to be thanked for giving my answers. It is rude to do otherwise.
No cos when people do it to me it actually bugs me cos I thought someone had something interesting to say about my answer, then all you get is thanks! No thanks haha
It's nice, but unecessary.
Instead of thanks, some persons write some unexpected
remarks. I will be still willing to receive such things.
No.. not at all - in fact, i find it a little irritating - cause then I have to go through the comments boxes thinking I have some helpful little comment, only to find it is a 'thanks'. Then I have a dilemma - do I respond to the 'thanks' with a 'you're welcome' or just leave it?
Oh dear - it is so difficult.
I have no expectations from anyone.People have never lived up to my expectations.
I think it's nice to tell someone more than just "thanks" when they take the time to answer your question.
I actually think it's a waste of time. That's what points are for.
But I do love actual responses.
I prefer a thougtful response if I gave a thougtful answer. Just saying thanks seems like they feel forced to say something, so they go with the minimal.
But if I'm just kidding around or being a smartass, I don't mind.
not at all - that would get quite annoying
I don't expect it, but it is nice to get one.
I don't expect!
I don't expect any feedback.
No, not from the asker of the question. It's great to get a comment, question or even just a "lol" or smile but a "thanks" on its own - naah - thats what points are for.
I don't expect no..but, its only polite :D
Not really but I have noticed that some people will thank all their friends who have answered their question and ignore everyone else.
No, but its better than "dude you suck!" Thanks shows you value an opinion.
NOT AT ALL BUT WANT SOME COMMENTS ON MY ANSWER.5
Not at all. But it is nice, and I try to give a thanks to everybody that answers my questions.
Not at all...:o)
no
It's not necessary to me.
Yes,I actually do,I answer those that answer my questions,I expect the same in return!
Never........expect anything from others.......
No, but I like points!
No.
I do not expect one but comments are nice.
No. It's not necessary at all. When I first started using Answerbag a lot, I used to say thank you to everyone I could who answered my questions. After awhile, it got old. I did mean it every time and I still do. That doesn't change that it still got old. I've moved on and like more creative responses to answers now.
no the thanks disappoints me. I want a real response with their gut reaction to my comment
Why are comments I am posting saying I asked them "One hour ago" right after I post them? Does this have to do with time changes?

Why, when I tried to post a comment, first it didn't work, then I tried again and it posted it three times? What caused that?

I have seen questions deleted for one reason or another. Does the AB censorship board ever delete comment threads ?

I do, too Rosie especially when they take the time to thank everyone else that has answered and then segregate only one or two people...that is more than rude..it is downright hurtful. {{{hugs}}}

Yes. I agree. I don't expect to be thanked for every single answer I give, but sometimes I'll write a great big long answer - on some sort of question about global warming most likely, lol - I like to have thanks then, because it takes me a while.
Some people might find it old fashioned to just say a good ol' thanks, but I DON'T. It's nice. ;)
PS. Thanks. Hehe.

I disagree. I believe it is rude to expect to be thanked.
