  • Parasites can be real boogers now-a-days with all the adulterations to our food stuffs. Because of all the adulterations (e.g. hormones, antibiotics, grain fed beef instead of grass fed beef, synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, etc.), lack of nutritional elements because of synthetic applications to food stuffs, and the inundation of chemical toxins in our general environment, we are finding more and more problems with a variety of different critters and also we are obtaining fewer nutrients in our foods which help to fend off invasive organisms. Here are a few recommendations. Get a good, natural, preservative-free dog food. I use Muenster which has all kinds of great nutrients and absolutely no artificial preservatives, and it includes diatomaceous earth. Diatomaceous earth, d.e., will help kill parasites by injestion. Who knows...some powder on your dog may help also. It definitely works for fleas. There is more information about it on this site or you can click on my name. Hulda Clark talks about parasites in her books. You can use her parasite killing formulas on dogs, just less of an amount. Briefly, some are Black Walnut Hull tincture (from the green hull), wormwood, and finally freshly ground cloves (not the non-fresh, preground cloves which you find in the store). It is important to eliminate potential toxins or their exposure to your dog. This could include any synthetic fertilizers (by the way, Miracle Grow is grossly synthetic), herbicides, pesticides, many of the chemical cleaners (e.g. floor cleaners, etc.), any solvents or "proply" type alcohols, etc. Chemicals often prompt parasitic invasions. I put a drop of GSE (grapefruit seed extract) into the water bowl on occasion. Adding a little MSM may help feed your dog that nutrient. A little brewer's yeast and/or garlic added to the food may help the immune system and ward off critters. On occasion adding a half teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (with the "mother") to the water bowl may help to provide trace minerals and balance PH. There are some enzymes possibly which could help. Search scabies on this website for more information or click on my name. Here is something. The herbs Yellow dock tea (1) or lavender oil (2) diluted in almond oil 1:10 daily until the condition improves. There are homeopathic remedies for animals. Go to WholisticAnimal.com for more information about mange and remedies. I knew a vet in the Dallas area who applied the wholistic methods and he had miraculous results. As to Bob's reference of a website: It is commandeered by a person who caters to the FDA and other government sanctions. And the person is a retired psychiatrist. What terrible credibility! So, it is no surprise that someone with these credentials of ill-repute would try to squash, suppress, and inhibit things would could benefit mankind, while protecting vested interests such as drug companies and certain government agendas.
