  • It depends if the jar itself is contaminated (which I doubt) or it's the actual peanut butter (much more likely). The peanut butter is mixed very throroughly at the factory and therefore any salmonella that could have been in there would already be eaten. If you start having any symptoms then get to a doctor. You can also call the company (usually they have a 1-800 number) , give them the numbers on the jar, and ask them if yours is effected. Good luck, Hope this helps
