Both denote laughter but one is out loud .. ?

Thanks, Dracool. +3 I thought LOL was Laugh Out Loud but HaHa was sarcastic.

There is no difference just a preference. I prefer Ha Ha over LOL (LOL)for myself but I don't mind when others say it because it's still a form of laughter & that's always a good thing.

Both mean laughter, but I usually just write chuckles:)

1) HaHa would understand anyone, I think. I would consider haha a word of standard English: "haha An onomatopoeic representation of laughter." Source and further information: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/haha 2) Some people still don't know what LOL means. It is internet slang. "LOL 1. (Internet, Internet slang) Laughing out loud; laugh out loud; or sometimes, lots of laughs. 2. (dated) Lots of love." Source and further information: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/LOL
