  • My question is in reference to this information: Mid America CropLife Association (MACA) is mad at Michelle Obama. MACA represents chemical companies producing pesticides. They are angry that Michelle Obama isn't using chemicals in her organic garden at the White House. In an email, a MACA spokesman wrote, "While a garden is a great idea, the thought of it being organic made [us] shudder." MACA published a letter it sent the First Lady asking her to consider using chemicals - ahem- "crop protection products" in her garden. Michelle Obama has done America a great service by publicizing the importance of nutritious food for kids. She's growing the garden in partnership with a local elementary school class. She is also supporting locally grown produce as an important, environmentally sustainable food source. Here's a petition MACA's board members to stop using Michelle Obama's garden to spread pro-chemical propaganda. I signed it! Hope you will! http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/wh_garden/?r_by=3454-1547346-WSSMq2x&rc=paste
  • Absolutely! Organics are great for you.
  • Certainly I do
  • Good on the First Lady! And yes I do support Organic Gardening. I have an organic garden, I try and use companion planting where I can, but alot of the time the grasshoppers have a feast anyway. +5
