I don't think so, doesn't AIM use the internet? If so then it will charge you for internet usage.

Oh yeah well I have free long distance calling! That's what happens when the government thinks you died :)

With most carriers AIM and Yahoo IM are billed as a text message however you do have to connect to the AIM server via internet so unless your account also has unlimited data usage sprint may try and stick you with a pay per usage data charge. (and knowing sprint they probably would.)
