  • Sounds like a job for Mercenaries. I say we've got some nifty hi-tech military hardware. Let's put them to good use. High Seas Palestinians. Only one response they'll understand.
  • Poor little rich people can't sail their little boaties around any more without consequence. Boo hoo. http://PiratesAndEmperors.com <--- Watch this and you'll see why pirates are perfectly justified.
  • I don't get it, is USA really, with it's super 1000 bullets per sec machineguns, so weak against some pirates with wooden swords and javelins? Shame on you! I bet even a drunken bum can do a better job! -.-
  • I think the merchant ships should sail in a convoy protected by navy ships like during WWII.
  • They shouldn't be captured or jailed. They should be hunted down and killed right on the spot just as any vermin would be by whatever means necessary.
  • The Somali pirates highjack vessels in order to get ransoms, and are not intending to hurt the crew. The merchant ships have insurance on this thus the insurance companies pay the ransom. It would cost the shipping companies too much to fight the issue,so they gladly pay.It is not a military issue, thus warships should not be involved.I do not support highjacking of ships at all,but since Somali is a lawless, desperately poor country and these people find no other way to bring money into the country.
  • One more mythinformation campaign by FOX News. You can still sail around the world in your sailboat; however, what you can't do (and is the reality behind these "pirates" a/k/a the new "terrorists") is dump illegal and toxic waste of the coast of Somalia. That, my friends, is what they're really trying to fight and what the US corporate press doesn't tell you. If you don't watch it, before you know it, the US will be invading Somalia too under the pretext of "spreading democracy" - I'm sick of all of it but even more sick of stupid people who let the media and their evil government do the thinking for them! Grow up, open your eyes and think for yourselves people, it doesn't hurt!
