Do you think its pathetic that a noncustodial parent complains about having to pay child support, while the custodial parent pays for everything when the noncustodial parent can't or wont pay?

I do. I think it is also pathetic the amounts of child support that men can get away with paying. My ex, if he pays, will have to pay me 250 per month for two kids. His truck payment and his bike payment are both higher than that!

i think child support laws are crap, think about it do really spend that much on your child a month? its meant for the child not for YOU get a job.... how is he supposed to take care of his needs when hes to busy working just to pay for a broken relationship- get over it don't get me wrong he should have to pay- A REASONABLE AMMOUNT

It costs $130 a week plus for day care. . You need a bigger home because of a child, you have to buy food, clothing and health care. Children are expensive. I'd rather be on the paying end any day.

Actually, they complain about being obligated to pay while having no control of how it's spent while the primary is under no legal obligation to be spending their required amount of the child. By having both parents paying into a trust fund, the custodial parent than provides the fund with proof that the money is being spent on the child, such as a percentage of rent, utilities, food, etc. Also, the cost of necessities, such as clothing, shoes, and other expenses exclusive to the child, with receipts and clothing tags or proof of purchase cut from the package. Any money left in the account would than collect interest and be available for emergencies, or special expenses, such as part of the cost of a car for a teenager, or a college education. Using this method would mean the child is getting full advantage of the support owed by both the parents, and not just one parent.
