This is what a Pogrom is? pogrom (Russian, ‘riot’ or ‘devastation’) A mob attack approved or condoned by authority, frequently against religious, racial, or national minorities - most often against Jews. The first occurred in the Ukraine following the assassination of ALEXANDER II (1881). Subsequently there were many pogroms throughout Russia, causing many Russian Jews to emigrate to the USA and western Europe, often giving their support to HERZL's ZIONIST campaign. After the revolution of 1905, ANTI-SEMITIC persecutions increased. Conducted on a large scale in Germany and eastern Europe after Hitler came to power they led ultimately to the HOLOCAUST.

I would say the first pogrom was initiated by Haman in Persian court of King Ahasuerus, who may also have been known as Xerxes. Please refer to the book of Esther for details. Although a case could also be made that Lucifer has been trying to destroy the Jews since time immemorial.

The wandering Jews, after 40 years in the desert, invaded the land of Canaan and destroyed the inhabitants thereof. Why? Because God told them to. But long before that pogrom, God himself had destroyed the people of Sodom and Gomorrah; that counts as a pogrom. And then later he destroyed all life on earth. In both of those pogroms, he did it because he didn't like their idea of what consenting adults may do in privacy behind closed doors.

the answer was the Pharoah at the time of Moses...even the citizens could kill Jews,(men,women and children)...he was scared of the population growth..
