Is a teenager a whiz who can operate the latest computer, electronic game, handheld devise, etc. without a lesson, but can't demonstrate how to make their own bed in the morning?

Because if he doesn't make his bed or doesn't make it well, Mom will do it for him, but if he can't operate the latest technology not only is Mom not going to be able to do it for him, but all his friends will be ahead of him in working it. There is therefore a drive to figure out all bells and whistles. You might also ask why a mom who can, get breakfast for everyone, dress everyone, get everyone to work/school, get to work herself, manage a large corporation, schedule and keep all family appointments, manage the kids schedules, and work every kitchen appliance known to man, not be able to download songs onto her own MP3 player. Same concept.
