Yes, I had a SLAP repair done about 7 years ago. I am an avid volleyball player and it wasn't that I was in extreme pain, but I was losing power on my serves PLUS had some pain, so I knew something was wrong. I kept playing to finish out a season. When I had the scope done to repaid the SLAP lesion I was in a sling for what seemed like forever and then starting to get movement again was VERRRRY painful and physical therapy was grueling but it was worth every second of the work and pain that went into it. It's now 7 years later and I am still playing volleyball and haven't had a single problem with my shoulder since then. If you have a good surgeon, I can't recommend it enough !!
