Actually, what I prefer is an S/O who is mature, compassionate, loving, intelligent, kind and affectionate, and who has a great sense of humor. Looks are a "nice to have," but by no means necessary.

I would prefer the beautiful one. Pretty pertains to the outter appearence, while beauty comes from the inner being. "Pretty" only lasts a short time, but beauty lasts forever. I know many pretty people who are not in the least beautiful, and many beautiful people who are not pretty.
