good luck.... itll be hard as hell staying focused if your like me. how about making a post-modern novel? that'd be cool check out kurt vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five for inspiration. You could make some unique books like that.... hopefully u dont find the style disorienting though i enjoy the unusual approach to time

Join a writing group that will critique your work and then write, write, write.

Yeah... Do something else! The business has become corrupt and flooded by professional college educated student/ monsters that critique everyone, not in their circle, half to death to get the talented ones back, as revenge for their own failed attempts. It's hard. But if it is your passion? Self publish if you have the money?

Look for a shipping container, boxcar, or refrigerator box to live in, because you'll be poor, especially if you choose to write fiction. You'll fare slightly better if you get a position at a magazine or write freelance articles.
