  • If the scallops were fresh, they were perfectly fine to eat - raw, even. There are types of sushi/sashimi that feature raw scallops. However, if you prefer them cooked, then sear them a little longer the next time. "Properly" cooked all depends on the definition of the chef.
  • They are like tuna and salmon... when fresh you can eat them raw so... I wouldn't worry you would be sick by now and know anyway.
