I don't know if my response will be welcomed, but since this has recently been a major issue in my own life, I want to comment. I worship a goddess, who nevertheless has made clear to me on several occasions that I am to look to her as my source and my sustenance, much as you Christians are taught to look to your deity. I work for someone I do not respect, because he has been manifestly uncaring and unfair to his workers, even before the current economic crisis. I've had to deal with a lot of anger and resentment over this. I complained quite a bit about this, as you can imagine, until one day my goddess became angry with me and let me know she didn't want to hear any more complaining. That wake-up call gave me some perspective, and I realized that, ultimately, I don't work for the guy who owns my business, and I don't work for my supervisors. I work for my goddess; and she'll provide - including provision of a new job, when and if I need one. I suspect it's the same for you Christians. The question certainly seems to imply it. I don't worry so much about my example, though. :) I figure I have enough to do just trying to live right, without worrying about what others are thinking.

you make a good point of mankind being in slavery to this day. however, i can think of no better masters than Jehovah God and his Son the Lord JesusChrist. i proudly serve them and wish to be enslaved to them for always.
